Role Description
Set up the BOBST Masterfold for a variety of carton styles including straight-line, crash-lock, 4-point, and 6-point
- Configure feeder, pre-breakers, folding sections, glue systems, and delivery
- Adjust belts, carriers, hooks, and folding rails for accurate carton forming
- Run the machine at optimal speeds while maintaining quality standards
- Set and time back-fold hooks and servo systems for 4/6 corner cartons
- Ensure correct folding sequences and glue application points
- Troubleshoot issues such as misfolds, fish-tailing, or poor squaring
- Record quality checks per company procedures
- Carry out efficient job changeovers to minimise downtime
- Pre-set tooling and prepare materials ahead of runs
- Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance
- Identify wear on belts, nozzles, and folding components
- Work with engineers on breakdowns and preventative maintenance
- Operate in line with site safety policies and machine guarding requirements
- Use PPE and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when required
- Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S)
