About The Role
This full-time Machine Operator role in Tile Cross offers £16.50 per hour through Pertemps Birmingham Commercial. The Role
Working as part of the manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for operating machinery, supporting production and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
Your Duties Will Include
- Working within a Robot Cell and supporting automated production processes.
- Operating a band saw safely and efficiently.
- Supporting the Machine Operator with day-to-day production requirements.
- Working with metal components and fabrication processes.
- Ensuring machinery and equipment are operated correctly.
- Carrying out quality checks on finished and in-process work.
- Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Keeping the work area clean, organised and efficient.
- Supporting colleagues and supervisors where required.
- Tack welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
About You
We are looking for someone who is mature, reliable and technically capable, with the confidence to work independently and support the wider production team.

You Should Ideally Have
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Fabricator, Production Operative or similar.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Experience operating a band saw.
- Previous experience working with or around robotic machinery / robot cells.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to follow technical instructions and production requirements.
- A responsible and dependable approach to work.
- Tack welding / MIG welding experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
