Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based in Stallingborough. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor plastic recycling machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient processing of materials.
Daily tasks include:
- Feeding and sorting plastic materials
- Performing routine checks
- Adjusting machine settings
- Monitoring output quality
The role also involves:
- Basic maintenance of machinery
- Safe use of hand tools
- Adherence to health and safety procedures
The Machine Operator will work closely with the production team, follow work instructions, and support continuous improvement in productivity and quality.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate and monitor machinery, with experience in Machine Operation in a production or recycling environment.
- Skills in Quality Control, including inspecting output, identifying defects, and following quality standards.
- Competence in working safely with Machinery and Hand Tools, including routine checks and basic maintenance.
- Strong Communication skills for working effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other teams.
- Understanding of health and safety practices in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate production records.
- Willingness to work in a physical, fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks safely.
- Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, or similar industrial roles is beneficial.
