Job Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for Machine Setters at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift & Hours of Work:
4 days on, 4 days off - rolling shift / Working 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs
Rate of Pay:
£14.23
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery to meet daily production targets.
- Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues on machines to minimize downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain output quality.
- Perform quality checks throughout production to ensure products meet customer specifications and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings and production data.
- Keep ERP and efficiency data software up to date to maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Liaise with the Production Team Leader/Manager to establish production packing plans.
- Complete relevant start up checks to ensure Technical and H&S compliance.
- Ensure correct & sufficient product & packaging is available to meet required production outputs.
- Manage the correct use of labels on your line, ensuring unused labels are returned.
- Help manage and support a small team, ensuring company processes (SOP’s) are followed, maintaining a food and people safe environment.
- Report any breaches of company policy and procedure in a timely manner (including H&S & discipline).

Requirements

- Food Safety level 2 or above is desirable.
- Good understanding of machinery operations and mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience in machine setting of Tray Sealing Machines, Multi-head-weighers, Auto coding and X-ray would be advantageous.
- Previous experience with an ERP and manufacturing efficiency software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Positively share knowledge and help train colleagues when required.
