We are currently recruiting for Machine Supervisors at our potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Working in a busy Production environment, you will be responsible for delivering performance through processes and machinery, ensuring safe and cost effective practices are adopted. You will share your specialist knowledge with others to continuously improve efficiencies. You will be required to manage a small group of staff, taking responsibility for all relevant production paperwork along with packed product quality.

Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off rolling shift pattern, working 6am to 6pm

Salary: £13.96 once full training provided - starting rate £13.46 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily machine operations to ensure production goals and quality standards are achieved.
  • Lead a small team, managing rotation and efficiency of staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with production management to coordinate workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Experience within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Experience of Operate Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) Machinery and Multihead weighers, would be considered beneficial, however full training will be given to the successful candidate.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations as related to machine operation.
  • Effective communication skills for liaison with staff and management.
