About the Role

The team at Sabreline UK are looking to increase their engineering capabilities and grow the nation's best support network for the manufacturing and engineering industry. Therefore, we are looking for a highly skilled engineer with a proven track record in the industry, to help manage our increasing demand.

Responsibilities
Sabreline UK has operated trading with a valued reputation in the industry for many years. Our engineering team has a combined total of 150+ years of experience dealing with a variety of machine tools. You will be responsible for upholding this reputation and providing outstanding service to our customers. From fault diagnostics to machinery installations, our engineering team is always on hand to assist our customers where needed.

As the Engineering face of the company, we expect you to be well-mannered and polite, work quickly and efficiently, communicate clearly with office staff and customers, and be reliable.
We aim to work primarily with milling machines and lathes of varying brands. Prior knowledge of brands such as Correa, Huron, Haas, Bridgeport, Micron, Colchester, Harrison, DSG, Doosan, and Hurco, etc... would be an advantage. A keen attitude to problem solving is key for this role – no two jobs are the same and we aim to say yes to customers wherever we can.
This role offers a high degree of autonomy – you will take full responsibility and accountability for the work carried out on site. The position requires a proactive individual capable of effectively understanding customer challenges, managing expectations, and resolving issues under pressure.
As manufacturing is a time-critical industry where machine downtime directly impacts productivity and profitability, your primary objective will be to restore equipment functionality efficiently and minimize disruption to the customer’s operations.

Requirements
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of machine tools.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience working with machine tools (multi-brand experience preferred).
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to safe working practices.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A qualification in engineering or similar relevant to the service engineer role.
