  • Mon - Thu: 08:00 - 16:45
  • Friday: 08:00 - 14:00

Your Main Responsibility Your main responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy machining department within a precision environment.

You will work closely with Production, Planning, and Purchasing teams, to ensure production targets are achieved.

You will be able to run the department competently in the manager's absence.

Duties

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create and optimise CNC programs for DMG Mori machines using offline programming tools.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, drills) according to job requirements.
  • Load raw materials and verify tooling setup.
  • Interpret technical drawings and ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor machine performance and report issues promptly.
  • Work closely with programmers and the machining production manager to meet production schedules.

What's Needed

Experience:

  • Experience operating CNC machines in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in DMG Mori programming platforms (Celos, VPS) (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and tooling.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam).
