As part of our rapid growth, we are recruiting for a Workshop Machinist to join our workshop operation in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with CNC and manual machining expertise who takes pride in producing high-quality components safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will manufacture precision-machined components from technical drawings while contributing to a safe and organised workshop environment.
About The Role
As a Workshop Machinist, you will be responsible for:
- Manufacturing components using both CNC and manual machining equipment
- Setting up CNC machines, selecting tooling and running programmes safely and efficiently
- Producing components accurately to technical drawings and specifications
- Completing machining operations within required lead times
- Carrying out quality inspections on finished products
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
- Supporting stock-taking activities when required
- Following company procedures and health & safety standards at all times

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous CNC machining experience, including machine setup, tooling, offsets and operation
- Experience operating manual machining equipment
- The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- A strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to producing quality workmanship
