Job Title: Machinist
We are looking for a Machinist to join our growing team in Hawick. This is a permanent, full time, 38 hours per week on a dayshift position. Rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour, dependant on experience. Training will be provided, but if you're an experienced machinist, your expertise will be highly valued and welcomed.
About the Role
No two days are the same in this role. As part of our team, you will work on a variety of luxury products, adding the final touches that ensure each item meets our high standards. You will be:
- Operating a plain stitch machine to attach zips, ribbons, straps and other trims to garments
- Sewing fine details, including labels on hats, gloves and other luxury accessories
- Working across a wide range of products for high-end brands
- Adding the finishing touches to ensure products meet the highest quality standards
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail when handling luxury materials and accessories
About You
Are you experienced on a sewing machine? Do you have a great eye for detail? We're searching for an individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, a can-do attitude, someone who is motivated to deliver excellence in all they do, and someone who is flexible to adapt their skills when working with a range of products. If you have an interest in fashion, we have hundreds of styles of garments you will get the opportunity to work with. If you have the ability to stay focused for long periods of time, can follow written instructions, and love to learn by communicating, we'd love to hear from you.
