Role Overview
We are looking for a Field Machinist Specialist to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Machinist required to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.).
- Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance program.
- Calibrate, align and make adjustments to production equipment.
- Work hours are Mon. – Fri., 8 hour days (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime.
- Available for call in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
Qualifications
- HS diploma.
- Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience.
- Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift.
- Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical/machine drawings.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent safety record – places safety and environment as top priority in all work.
- Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out.
- Good communication skills – daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed.
- Good team player – willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed.

Work Hours
- Work hours are either days shifts or the Fireman’s rotating schedule.
- Mon. – Fri., 8 hour days (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime.
- Rotating fireman’s schedule is (2 (12hr) days then 2 (12hr) Night shifts followed by 4 days off.
- Available for calling in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs.

Minimum Education Level and Experience
- 2 year schooling and/or 5 plus years of demonstrated experience.
