Job Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for two permanent band 5 Therapeutic Radiographers to join the treatment team within the Radiotherapy Department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. We also have 2 short fixed term contract band 5 positions available until February 2027 that you can express interest in as part of your application.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable individuals who can integrate quickly into a busy, supportive team. The successful candidates will develop their clinical expertise across treatment and pre-treatment pathways and will be expected to participate in the emergency on-call rota.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality, effective individualized treatment and care to all patients
  • Carry out all practical aspects involved in preparation of radiotherapy treatments
  • Provide supervision of radiographers, student radiographers, and helpers within allocated work area

Professional Development

We actively support professional development, including radiographer-led research, service improvement, and quality improvement initiatives. The Trust also offers established leadership development programmes. The post holder will be required to work across sites and contribute to extended service hours.

About the Service

The service operates across Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital and delivers a comprehensive range of advanced techniques including SRS, SABR, Brachytherapy, TBI, and TLNI. We have just installed two new Accuray Radixact systems and operate Varian TrueBeam linacs.
