Magazine Intern

MAGNAV Magazine is looking for motivated students and recent graduates to join our team as Magazine Interns. This is a flexible, remote and voluntary opportunity designed for students and recent graduates who would like to gain practical experience in the media and publishing industry.

The internship provides exposure to magazine research, editorial development, outreach and professional communication. Depending on your interests and confidence, there may also be opportunities to communicate directly with professionals, businesses, artists, public figures and other potential contributors.

Key Areas of Work

  • Researching people, businesses, organisations, trends and potential story subjects
  • Supporting the team with editorial and magazine research
  • Identifying potential interviewees, contributors and interesting stories
  • Conducting online research and compiling relevant information
  • Supporting outreach to potential contributors and contacts
  • Assisting with communication and follow-ups where appropriate
  • Helping identify potential partnerships, features and editorial opportunities
  • Optionally interacting with professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, public figures and other contacts
  • Supporting other research and media-related tasks according to your interests and abilities

Who Can Apply

This opportunity is primarily suitable for:

  • Current university or college students
  • Recent graduates
  • Students studying journalism, media, communications, marketing, business, public relations, fashion, lifestyle or related subjects
  • Candidates interested in magazines, publishing, journalism, communications or the wider media industry

Previous professional experience is not required. We are more interested in curiosity, reliability, communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Internship Structure

  • Location: Remote
  • Working arrangement: Flexible
  • Type: Voluntary / Unpaid
  • Minimum duration: 4 weeks

There are no fixed daily working hours. Tasks can be arranged around the candidate's studies or existing commitments, with work allocated according to the internship programme and the candidate's availability.
