Magento Front End Developer

Circa £35,000 | Blackburn | Hybrid – 3 days onsite

I'm working with a growing ecommerce business in near Blackburm that's looking for a Magento Front End Developer to join its established development team.

This would suit someone with solid commercial Magento 2 experience who's looking for a role where they can develop their skills while working alongside some genuinely experienced developers.

You'll be working across multiple B2B and B2C ecommerce sites, with one of your first major projects involving a complete front-end revamp of a B2B platform generating around £37m in revenue.

The team is currently using Hyvä to improve performance, responsiveness and the overall customer experience, so any experience with Hyvä would be a big advantage, but it isn't essential.

The Role:

  • Developing and improving Magento 2 ecommerce websites
  • Working on front-end features, functionality and responsive user experiences
  • Supporting a major B2B website redevelopment
  • Working closely with backend developers on larger development projects
  • Collaborating with ecommerce and marketing teams to turn requirements into working solutions
  • Helping improve website performance and usability across multiple sites

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience Required:

You'll need commercial experience working with Magento 2 and a good grounding in front-end ecommerce development.

Experience with Hyvä would be great to have, as would some exposure to PHP, Laravel, MySQL or Magento backend development, but we're not expecting you to be a full-stack developer.

More importantly, you'll be comfortable working collaboratively, keen to develop technically and able to work as part of a team rather than needing to do everything on your own.

The Team

You'll join a small team of developers, including a Lead Developer. There's a lot of experience around you, so you'll have people to learn from and support you while still having the opportunity to take ownership of your own development work.
