Our Barnstaple facility is located in North Devon. Founded in 1948, the site now employs approximately 160 employees and features the Aero Stanrew brand of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring, and electronic test equipment for safety-critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial, and transportation industries.

Role Overview And Responsibilities
Working as an essential part of the manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Operator will be directly manufacturing Magnetics-based products in accordance with recognised industry standards to Detailed Drawings/Schedules & specifications.
This role is based on a 39-hour week, Monday to Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, check, and follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy.
- Manufacture products in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints.
- Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
- Demonstrate safe behavior at all times, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
- Work within a zero harm culture.
The role requires a zero tolerance to defects.
Qualifications, Skills And Attributes
The ideal candidate will:
- Take a proactive approach in an improvement culture with a view of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate Manufacturing Winding/Soldering/Assembly/Wiring operations experience, working in accordance with internal documents/customer drawings/schedules to recognised standards.
- Be experienced in the Aerospace industry or similar.
- Have extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print, and design to spec, environments.
- Thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
- Have experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems.
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be able to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines.
- Be accredited in IPC 610/620 JSTD Soldering or recognised similar, such as ESA/ECSS.

- Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100.
- Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques.
- A formal Apprenticeship.
- Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jst.

As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates must achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). TT Electronics is unable to sponsor work visas for this role.
