Job Description

Help us to lead major component replacement programmes that support the reliability, performance and future growth of renewable energy assets across the UK. As an Main Component replacement (MCR) Readiness Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring operational readiness, engineering excellence, and safe delivery across a diverse portfolio of renewable technologies.

At EDF power solutions, we’re shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action – delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

You’ll help ensure our operational fleet continues to perform at its best by leading readiness activities for major component replacements, driving continuous improvement, and supporting our ambition to grow installed capacity from 2GW to 10GW by 2035.

The Opportunity

As MCR Readiness Lead, you’ll join our Asset Operations Technical Services and Delivery team, reporting to the Planning Manager. You’ll provide technical leadership across major component replacement programmes, helping to maintain the highest engineering, quality and safety standards while delivering long-term value across our operational fleet.

Alongside a competitive salary and a performance related annual bonus, you’ll join a hybrid role working from home and across various sites throughout the UK. You will be provided with a vehicle as periodic travel is required to operational assets and project locations, giving you the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.

You’ll collaborate with operational, engineering, asset management and senior leadership teams while influencing best practice across renewable technologies including onshore wind, offshore wind, solar and battery storage. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact within a growing business helping to deliver a net zero future.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
