🚨 Hiring: Mainframe Network Engineer 🚨
📍 Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 Days/Week from Office)
💼 Employment Type: TP (Permanent)
💰 Salary: £350/day (Inside IR35)
We're looking for an experienced Mainframe Network Engineer to join our team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large enterprise environment, supporting and enhancing IBM z/OS mainframe network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- ✔ Configure and administer IBM z/OS mainframe network software
- ✔ Administer network-related third-party system software
- ✔ Provide technical support for mainframe networking, including participation in an on-call support rota
- ✔ Support internal and external infrastructure projects as a Mainframe Networking SME
- ✔ Monitor network performance and implement performance improvements
- ✔ Produce and maintain technical documentation
- ✔ Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards

- 🔹 IBM z/OS Mainframe Networking
- 🔹 TCP/IP and associated protocols/products
- 🔹 SNA, VTAM, APPN / Enterprise Extender
- 🔹 Connect:Direct and other file transfer products
- 🔹 Session Management tools (TPX, Teleview, CL/Supersession)
- 🔹 Network Management tools (NETVIEW, Netmaster/TCPIP)
- 🔹 VPS Print Server products
- 🔹 Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills

What We're Looking For
✅ Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS networking technologies
✅ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
✅ Self-motivated with strong ownership and delivery focus
✅ Excellent English communication skills
