As a Deco Maintainer, you will perform production and maintenance activities that support the plant's production goals and customer specifications. You will combine equipment operation, in-process inspection, data analysis, adjustments, and mechanical repairs to help maintain product conformity and reliable production. Working within established safety, food safety, quality, environmental, and operating procedures, you will contribute to safe and effective day-to-day operations.

  • Perform routine manual and mechanical production activities required to operate production equipment in line with customer specifications and plant production requirements.
  • Conduct in-process can inspections, input and analyze production data, and use computer systems to help identify and control product conformity in accordance with plant quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance on production equipment as required, including equipment adjustments and mechanical repairs, while supplying and maintaining the hand tools needed for the role.
  • Follow established job safety practices, plant and corporate procedures, food safety requirements, and standard operating procedures applicable to the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain safe and orderly working conditions through good housekeeping practices and compliance with environmental requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste segregation.
  • Rotate among designated operator assignments within the department when required and provide operational cover for operator breaks to support continuity of production.

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in an engineering or printing discipline (mandatory)
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (mandatory)
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, combined with an interest in and aptitude for mechanics.
  • Knowledge of offset printing.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use computer systems effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to results in a demanding manufacturing environment.
