Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bradford
Salary: Competitive
Shift Pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (annual rota provided)
About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production machinery within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns, helping to maximize machine uptime and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on site machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to maintain and repair machinery.
- Maintain equipment including conveyors, bearings, pulleys, timing belts, sensors, motors, and other production machinery.
- Prepare new equipment for operation and carry out testing to ensure safety and performance.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Complete maintenance records and follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or technical training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
