Established in the mid 1990’s Centurion have developed strong relationships in major UK industries including Transport, Retail and Manufacturing as well as having a strong presence with commercial SME’s.

With a large vehicle fleet based across the UK and a busy workshop managing local maintenance, we are there to keep our customers informed every step of the way to make sure that any maintenance work that needs upkeeping with their fleet goes as efficiently and effectively as possible.

We are looking for a technically minded Maintenance Advisor
This role would suit someone who has worked within a workshop, fleet maintenance, HGV, automotive or engineering environment and is confident reviewing repair estimates, questioning unnecessary work and ensuring maintenance costs remain fair and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review repair estimates, labour times and parts costs to ensure they are accurate, competitive and represent value for money.
- Challenge excessive quotations and negotiate with suppliers where costs or repairs appear unreasonable.
- Communicating with customers on work carried out and work completed.
- Supply accurate and timely estimates for necessary work when requested.
- Greet customers on site and respond to any queries via email and phone.
- Prepare and maintain documentation.
- Liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers.

About You:
- A solid technical understanding of commercial vehicle, HGV, trailer or automotive maintenance.
- Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of balancing cost control, customer service and vehicle compliance.
- This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical mechanical knowledge who enjoys taking ownership of maintenance costs, keeping vehicles on the road and ensuring suppliers deliver both quality workmanship and fair pricing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working in a team environment.
- Must have a good eye for detail and accuracy.
- Great organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Word, Office and Excel.
