Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be tasked with maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing company statutory and legal requirements, including fire safety, health and safety, hygiene, and electricity at work, as well as adhering to all local by-laws. Rigorously adhering to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (C.O.S.H.H) regulations, particularly in the storage of hazardous substances.
- Responding promptly to all maintenance inquiries to ensure minimal disruption to guest services. Performing maintenance repair work, ensuring the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn during all repairs. Following planned preventative maintenance programs to maintain equipment and facilities effectively.
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers and contractors.
- Successfully implementing energy conservation initiatives to support company sustainability goals.
- Attending additional training sessions pertinent to the role to stay updated with the latest industry standards and practices.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Strong experience in a maintenance role, ideally within a hospitality or customer-centric environment.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the drive to respond to maintenance issues promptly.
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to adhere to them strictly.
- Excellent communication skills, with the desire to build positive relationships with colleagues and contractors.
- A proactive approach to work, ensuring successful implementation of maintenance programs and initiatives.
- The ability to work independently as well as being a collaborative team member.
- Flexibility to attend training sessions and adapt to new methods and technologies.
