Maintenance Assistant - London

The Role and You:

As a Maintenance Assistant you will be required to work closely with the Property & Maintenance Manager in ensuring day to day works are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.

You will continuously look to improve standards and ways of working, using your initiative to scope out works required. You will take full accountability for the jobs you complete, ensuring these are completed safely and to the required standard. Managing your own day to timings and workload.

The day to day work will be varied but could include the following:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Manage day to day tasks from beginning to completion
  • Highlight any safety improvements needed throughout the building
  • Assess risk in daily tasks and communicate to Property & Maintenance Manager
  • Communicate and build report with General Managers
  • Reporting on jobs in hand and jobs complete
  • Communicating on an issue on jobs in progress and support needed
  • Ability to deliver maintenance duties with minimal supervision and to a high standard
  • Deal with reactive breakdowns
  • Painting and decorating when needed
  • Basic carpentry
  • Tiling
  • Manual handling and out of hours when required
