Located in the heart of the City, Eataly London is a diverse, multi-outlet operation that harmoniously combines retail, restaurants, bars, and various other departments to create an exceptional guest experience. Position:

Location: London, EC2M 3YD, fully on-site

Contract type: Permanent, 40 hours, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and occasional night shifts for planned maintenance and project work.

The Maintenance Associate performs repairs and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of building, kitchen, and bar equipment as well as fixtures and systems within Eataly London. Reports to the Maintenance Manager assisting with the smooth running of the building and systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the Maintenance Supervisor in conducting routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ensures efficiency and good working conditions of multiple 24-hour facilities, including but not limited to: walk-ins, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning services, and off-site storage.
  • Guarantees exceptionally clean and sanitary conditions in accordance with all UK compliance and regulations as well as Eataly brand standards.
  • Performs repairs and paint applications in a professional manner.
  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electric work – were trained and safe.
  • Works with any external contractors coming onto site to complete work.
  • Helps with Health & Safety facilities such as fire alarm tests.
  • Works closely with the heads of departments on maintenance requests.
  • Keeps to efficient timelines for works that consider the needs of the business and busy periods.

Requirements:

  • Previous maintenance experience within a commercial business is preferred.
  • Appropriate qualifications within general maintenance, potentially in electrics, carpentry, or plumbing.
  • Experience within the hospitality or retail sector is preferred.
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external teams.
  • Fluent in the English language both written and spoken.
  • Right to work in the UK
