We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Associate

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Associate to join our busy Maintenance team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel, ensuring the upkeep, safety and presentation of the property and its facilities.

When a guest walks into our hotel – they should feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident that everything is maintained to the highest standard. Your dedication will help create an environment where guests can settle in, relax, and enjoy a seamless stay from the moment they arrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out repairs and resolve maintenance issues throughout the hotel in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to their stay.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance on hotel facilities, equipment, and systems.
  • Maintain the hotel's physical appearance and operational efficiency, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance tasks.
  • Work closely with all departments across the hotel, building strong working relationships and delivering excellent internal customer service.
  • Identify and report any developing maintenance concerns or larger engineering works to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and environmentally sustainable practices throughout the hotel.
  • Assist with the organisation, control, and ordering of maintenance supplies and inventory.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or engineering role, ideally within hospitality, hotels, or a customer-focused environment.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or general building maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • To be part of our call out team, to be on call and attend the hotel when needed.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as required by the needs of the business.

Hours

The position requires working 40 hours per week over 5 days, with flexibility to work both early and late shifts.
