Eurostar is launching the 2027 Maintenance & Availability (M&A) Apprenticeship Scheme for Traction & Rolling Stock at EECTM.
We are at the cutting edge of rail engineering, and we pride ourselves by working with industry leading suppliers and consultancies. Eurostar has two fleets of high-speed trains; you will have the chance to use your knowledge to deliver innovative solutions and help Eurostar become Europe's most loved travel experience.
A Eurostar Apprentice will gain hands on experience with some of the most advanced and complicated rolling stock equipment available in the rail industry while learning from a highly experienced team.
Apprentices are provided with the opportunity to gain a formal qualification and more importantly, a chance to gain industry specific knowledge and experience from experts in the business. You will receive a competitive salary, paid holidays and company benefits while training.
You will split your time between UK Eurostar locations and external colleges as required.
This permanent position is based at our Temple Mills Depot in Leyton.

The close date for this role is 9AM on Monday, 2 November 2026. Candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible; Eurostar reserves the right to contact candidates before close date and to close the role earlier if suitable candidates are identified.
Our stages for this recruitment process will include completion of the online application form, a self-recorded video interview (planned to be issued on / around 9-13 November 2026) and an assessment centre (planned for 6/7 January 2027). We are targeting a start date of 1 February 2027 for these positions.

Requirements
As part of the apprenticeship scheme, you will...
- Get hands on experience with our fleet of high-speed trains
- Have the opportunity to learn from our experienced team of trainers and engineers
- Attend college where you will work and learn alongside engineering apprentices from other industries
- Study and complete coursework and consistently achieve high results in exams and assessments
- Complete a comprehensive portfolio of evidence to complete your training
You'll have...
- Enthusiasm about the railway industry and have a keen interest in engineering
- The ability to be part of a team culture
- A levels or GCSEs at a grade 5 in Maths, English, IT subjects and Science as a minimum
Offers of employment are subject to the successful achievement of GCSE Maths, English, IT subjects and Science at a GCSE grade 5 as a minimum.
