Maintenance Colleague

We are seeking to employ a full time, permanent Maintenance Colleague, to work in our Stowmarket Distribution Centre.

Shift Pattern: 40 per week Monday - Friday. Working hours will be 0600 - 1430 occasionally start and finish times may change to meet operational requirements.

Annual Salary: Excellent remuneration

What does the role entail?

  • Respond to emergency repairs on site.
  • Undertaking running repairs, maintenance and decoration as required.
  • Basic carpentry, joinery, ironmongery (such as changing locks, hinges)
  • Basic plumbing sinks and toilets etc.
  • Some basic electrical work changing sockets, bulbs etc.
  • Basic racking repairs
  • Following schedule as outlined by the facilities management team.
  • Regular audit of risk assessment method statements
  • Regular audit of tool kit, and stock take of small consumables needed for the role.
  • Utility monitoring as required.
  • Conducting other reasonable tasks as directed by management to meet the operational requirements of the site.
  • Routine facilities and health and safety checks as identified by Health and Safety and Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with project work as required.
  • Demonstrate and uphold the highest standards of Health and Safety in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Identifying the most cost-effective sources of consumable and materials that may be required.
  • Assist with compilation of Risk Assessment Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of work for the tasks to be performed.
