About Us

At Splend, we’re on a mission to fundamentally change the way people own and operate a vehicle. With a strategic focus on Rideshare, we provide our customers straightforward, no strings attached access to vehicle ownership.

But we aren’t just about vehicle ownership; we are also fast-tracking the transition to green mobility, and we are leading the way globally in reducing the carbon footprint of the transportation sector by transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles.

About the role

The Maintenance Controller plays a critical role in ensuring Splend’s fleet remains safe, compliant, and on the road.

Based at our Aldgate Office, this role is responsible for coordinating approved maintenance activities in line with budget, managing service-related communications, and actively reducing vehicle downtime by maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Vehicle Off Road (VOR) list.

Responsibilities

  • Taking phone calls and emails from suppliers, negotiating work to be done and approving costs for service repairs nationally in line with approved maintenance budgets.
  • Generating reports and working with relevant teams to ensure vehicles are serviced on time and maintained in accordance with manufacturers guidelines.
  • Monitor, maintain, and actively reduce the Vehicle Off Road (VOR) list, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Coordinate with workshops and internal teams to ensure maintenance work is completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
  • Responsible for the creating of work orders and purchase orders to be raised.
  • Working with fleet management team to identify trends/patterns to improve efficiencies and processes.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded and compliant with company and manufacturer standards.
  • Support the Fleet Operations Team Leader with reporting, tracking, and maintenance administration tasks as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
