About our client
Our client is a property maintenance and commercial refurbishment specialist, operating across London and the South East. They deliver reactive maintenance, planned maintenance programmes, and refurbishment services to residential and commercial property portfolios, built on a reputation for accountability and long-term relationships with property managers, developers and landlords.
The role
As maintenance coordinator, you'll be the central point of contact for incoming work orders, managing everything from initial logging through to completion. You'll liaise directly with property managers and engineers to keep jobs moving, troubleshoot issues before dispatching engineers, and make sure every job is completed to the right standard and within agreed timescales. It's a newly created role as the business continues to grow.

What you'll be doing
- Receiving, qualifying, and logging incoming maintenance requests, both reactive and planned
- Troubleshooting issues with property managers to diagnose problems before dispatching engineers
- Scheduling and assigning jobs to in-house engineers or external contractors based on priority, location, and skill set
- Monitoring active jobs across trades to keep them on track and within agreed timescales
- Keeping accurate records of job notes, materials used, and completion times
- Processing contractor invoices and checking them against work orders

- Previous experience in a coordination, administrative, or customer service role
- Experience working alongside engineers or tradespeople across areas such as plumbing, electrical, roofing, or carpentry, with a general understanding of terminology, timeframes, and processes (in-depth technical knowledge isn't required)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable
- Experience gained within property management, facilities management, or construction
