A brand-new opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join a high-performing manufacturing site in County Durham. This role is targeted at leaders with strong technical roots in maintenance who are ready to build and drive a best-in-class team focused on process reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Gain

Your Impact
- Manage, coach, and develop a maintenance team (covering holidays, absence, and shift patterns)
- Coordinate all preventive maintenance (PMs), spare parts inventory, and related procurement
- Monitor machine uptime, drive root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement actions
- Collaborate with design and support functions to ensure new and existing equipment align with safety and maintenance standards
- Lead supplier management, plant shutdowns, and support on new equipment commissioning
- Read and interpret engineering drawings; ensure standards/processes align to local and global expectations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of proactive safety and cross-functional teamwork

You’ll Bring
- Maintenance-specific qualifications (apprenticeship or degree in electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering) and direct experience in a maintenance environment
- Proven people leadership (maintenance team leader or coordinator experience strongly preferred; must have relevant maintenance background, not purely managerial)
- Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred) and a solid understanding of manufacturing robotics (FANUC, Yaskawa, or ABB beneficial; experience with delivery robots a plus)
- Confident communicator, strong collaborator, and negotiator able to work closely with suppliers, peers, and leadership
- Experience building teams and working in start-up or transformation environments is valuable
- General IT proficiency (Microsoft Office; other specialist software can be trained)
- Able to interpret technical drawings and implement continuous improvements
- Stakeholder-focused, solutions-minded, and committed to best-practice standards

Other Information
Standard daytime office hours (Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1:30pm) with flexibility; occasional shift pattern support may be required
