Maintenance Craftsperson
Location: Edmonton, London
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off (7am - 7pm)
Salary: up to £38,600 dependant upon skills and experience
Role Summary
Join our healthcare engineering team as a Maintenance Craftsperson responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems such as HVAC, boilers, and plumbing. You'll carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), fault repairs, blockage clearance, and perform Authorised Person (AP) and Competent Person (CP) duties. The role includes participation in a monthly on-call rota and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine PPM and emergency repairs on mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and clear blockages in plumbing and drainage.
- Perform AP and CP duties to ensure system safety and compliance.
- Take part in a 1-week per month on-call rota.
- Maintain Health & Safety compliance and complete risk assessments.
- Collaborate with teams and provide technical support as needed.

Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within healthcare or critical infrastructure.
- Skilled in HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and mechanical fault finding.
- Experienced in AP and CP duties and Health & Safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and able to work independently or in teams.
- Mechanical qualifications and healthcare experience desirable.
- Physically able to work in demanding environments including confined spaces and heights.
