Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Service Manager to lead the safe, compliant and effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across a diverse property portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader to oversee maintenance delivery, ensuring statutory compliance, high service standards and strong commercial performance across a multi-site contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage day-to-day operational performance, coordinating engineers, subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet service level agreements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant legislation, industry regulations and health, safety and environmental standards.
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), promoting safe systems of work across all maintenance activities.
- Monitor and manage works through the CAFM system, ensuring records, documentation and compliance information are accurately maintained.
- Build strong relationships with clients, site teams and key stakeholders, acting as the main operational point of contact and resolving service issues effectively.
- Identify opportunities for additional works and support the preparation of quotations and cost estimates for small projects and remedial works.
- Lead, coach and develop operational teams, driving a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.
- Support forward maintenance planning, cost control and contract performance to ensure efficient and commercially successful service delivery.

About You

- Proven experience managing planned and reactive maintenance within a facilities management, building services or property maintenance environment.
- Experience overseeing small works or minor projects is highly desirable.
- HNC (or equivalent experience) in Building, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Management-level Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and maintenance best practice.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead teams and build strong client relationships.
- Willingness to undertake additional Authorised Person responsibilities (such as Legionella, Asbestos, Confined Space or Working at Height), with training provided where required.
