A leading service provider in the healthcare sector is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Norwich to oversee electrical services at a major University Hospital. Your work will directly ensure a safe and reliable environment for patients and staff.

The Role

As the Maintenance Electrician, you will provide safe and efficient maintenance across the hospital estate. You’ll:

  • Ensure Reliability: Maintain hospital buildings, plant, and equipment to high standards to safeguard long-term serviceability.
  • Technical Repairs: Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, and commissioning of various plant and systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure continued efficiency and safety.
  • Safety First: Work in accordance with workplace regulations, assessing all tasks for risk and taking appropriate action.
  • Documentation: Use computerised labour control systems to accurately complete work orders and document repairs.

You

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Electrician, you’ll bring:

  • Qualifications: A recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or structured training program, plus City and Guilds or BTEC certification.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of Electrical Building Services and experience in a similar large-scale environment.
  • Professionalism: Excellent communication and customer service skills for a sensitive hospital setting.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00) with occasional overtime in exceptional circumstances.
