Role: Maintenance Electrician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of solar panel systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of electrical systems and solar technology.
Essential Requirements
- 18th Edition
- NVQ Level 3
- 2391 Test & Inspection
- 2+ years experience on domestic electrical works
Desired Requirements
- Previous experience wiring up Solar PV systems
- Previous experience installing Battery Storage Systems
- 2372 or 2399 qualification
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance checks and inspections of solar panel systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to solar panels, inverters, and associated components. Replace faulty components and ensure systems are compliant with safety standards.
- Installation Support: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new solar panel systems when required. Ensure all electrical installations comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of technical issues and repair processes. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while on customer sites. Provide advice and recommendations on system upgrades and improvements.
- Health and Safety: Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations on the project site. Implementing safety protocols, and monitoring compliance to create a safe working environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and customer interactions. Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues encountered, and actions taken. Collaborate with maintenance team to improve maintenance procedures and system designs.
