About The Role

The Maintenance Electrician position in Dudley offers a permanent contract with a salary up to £40,000 per annum. Working Monday to Thursday, you will benefit from a four-day week totalling 40 hours, with flexible start times available. Joining a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer, your focus will be on planned preventative maintenance and ensuring the reliability of production machinery and site services. The Opportunity

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability, and investment.

Due to continued growth and ongoing improvements across the site, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support the reliability and performance of production equipment and site services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on plant and production equipment
  • Support breakdown response and minimise production downtime
  • Work on motors, drives, control systems and industrial electrical installations
  • Assist with machinery upgrades and improvement projects
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

What We're Looking For

We're interested in electricians from heavy manufacturing, foundry, steel, recycling, quarrying, aggregates, process manufacturing or similar industrial environments.

Ideally You'll Have Experience With

  • Industrial electrical maintenance
  • Motors and motor control systems
  • Variable speed drives and inverters
  • Fault-finding on production machinery
  • Electrical installations and control panels
  • Preventative maintenance systems

You'll Also Have

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Relevant Electrical Qualifications Are Highly Desirable.

Please note: This position is based within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment involving heat, dust, noise and large-scale production equipment.
