Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Electrician role based in Wirral. The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a variety of properties and facilities. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical faults, performing routine and preventive maintenance, completing necessary testing and documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. The role also involves responding to maintenance requests, collaborating with colleagues and site contacts, and supporting installation work where required.

  • Strong practical skills in Electrical Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of Electricity principles and safe working practices.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical issues and using appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs and scheduling to minimize downtime.
  • Recognized electrical qualification or apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Full, valid driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
