Maintenance Electrician - Redditch Area

£30,866 - £36,135 per annum (DOE) + 15% weekend allowance

39-hour working week

If you're looking for a stable, long-term role where your skills genuinely make a difference, this is a fantastic opportunity. Hiring for a reputed client on a long-term Ministry of Justice contract, you'll help keep essential facilities safe, secure and running day to day in a busy, rewarding environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site
  • Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently
  • Undertake electrical testing in line with BS7671
  • Support safe, compliant and secure operations at all times
  • Work both independently and as part of the wider facilities team

  • Level 2 electrical qualifications (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition (or 17th Edition with willingness to upskill)
  • Experience in maintenance or a similar environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • A proactive, safety-focused approach to your work

Additional information:

  • You'll be working a 39-hour week on a structured rota, with a 15% allowance for 1 in 3 weekend working
  • Prison Security Clearance will be required (the employer will support you through the process)
  • Clear progression routes into Team Leader and Site Management roles
  • Training and development available, including support to gain 18th Edition if required
