Our client is looking for an experienced Skilled Electrician to join our clients Aviation Maintenance team. Working across major and regional airports and RAF airfields, you’ll be involved in a variety of specialist electrical engineering and maintenance projects supporting critical aviation infrastructure.


The Role

You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems across airfield and terminal environments. Duties will include planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, electrical containment, low-voltage systems, and supporting essential power systems including generators and UPS.

  • You’ll work closely with wider engineering teams, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with aviation security, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • The role may also involve participation in a call-out rota.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition BS7671
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
  • JIB ECS Gold Card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous electrical installation and maintenance experience
  • Able to work airside and meet required security clearance/DBS requirements
  • Willing to participate in a call-out rota when required
  • Must live within a commutable distance

  • SSSTS
  • PASMA
  • IPAF
  • CP1 Competent Person
  • confined space experience
  • Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)
  • ESR2 Skilled Person
  • aviation/airfield electrical experience
