Maintenance Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £40,000 – £47,000 per annum
Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days

Are you an experienced Engineer looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and well-established manufacturing environment?
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team at a busy manufacturing site in Aberdeen.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, working across a range of production machinery while helping to keep the site running safely, efficiently and reliably.
You'll be joining a positive engineering team where teamwork, communication and mutual respect are at the heart of the working environment.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of production machinery and site equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding and repairs.
- Completing reactive and corrective maintenance.
- Supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Supporting continuous improvement and engineering improvement projects.
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
- Ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained safely and efficiently.
- Supporting the reliability and performance of production equipment.

Requirements
Essential:
- A recognised Engineering qualification – Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as an Engineer within an industrial, manufacturing or similar environment.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
- Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.
- Ability to fault find using PLC inputs and outputs.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Engineering experience gained within the Armed Forces is also welcomed.
