Maintenance Engineer
Job Purpose
To maximise machinery output and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance, efficient breakdown response, whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practice.
Position Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain the plant in a serviceable order at all times.
- Execute reactive tasks across the site and proactively identify root causes, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Ensure work is correctly controlled through Engineering procedures, including LOTO and the Permit System.
- Carry out routine PPM (Preventative/Predictive Maintenance) on all M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) plant, adhering to site task schedules and asset lists.
- Immediately report all critical equipment operational issues to Engineering management.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and computerised records as required.
- Comply with all current organisational work instructions.
- Fully adhere to all current health, safety & environmental regulations while performing duties.
- Undertake any reasonable task within your capability.

Required/Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Electrical and mechanical engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Completion of an advanced apprenticeship in engineering or relevant equivalent qualification.
- 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience with assembly and moulding equipment.
- IEE 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience.
- Air and pneumatics training or certification.
- Familiarity with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) processes and standards.
