Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bedford
Salary: £45,000 - £47,500
Shift: 3 Shift
Job Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be working within a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of automated systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with strong investment in automation and engineering.

- Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background
- Experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment (logistics, FMCG, manufacturing or similar)
- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Ability to fault find under pressure and work independently
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Experience with conveyors, automated systems or material handling equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to carry out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Team player with a proactive attitude
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- PLC fault finding experience
- Experience within a logistics or warehouse environment
- Knowledge of CMMS systems
- Continuous improvement or Lean experience
