Description
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Lead to join our team at our site based in Darton. Working as part of a small maintenance team, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining and repairing Waterjet, router and other manufacturing machinery to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
This is a varied role combining mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, machine servicing and general site support within a busy manufacturing environment. Occasional out-of-hours and weekend working may be required to support breakdowns and urgent operational requirements.
Hours: Days | Monday to Thursday 7:45am - 4:30pm | Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on Waterjet, router and other production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Assist with machine setup and operation when required.
- Accurately record maintenance activities and raise issues through company systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and reducing downtime.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist external contractors carrying out maintenance and repair work on site.
- Support general warehouse and facility maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and company standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical qualification (or equivalent Machine Maintenance qualification).
- Experience reading and interpreting technical, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations within an industrial environment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, testing equipment and maintenance tools.
- Computer literate with experience using maintenance or operational systems.
- Self-motivated, reliable and capable of working independently.
- People management experience
