Salary: £38,000 base plus Shift allowance
- Double Days 20%
- Nights 33%

At Corin, we're dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients through innovative orthopaedic solutions. We're looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely, and effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills to contribute to a highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining site plant, equipment, and buildings to maximise productivity while ensuring compliance with Corin's health and safety procedures. Working closely with production and supervisory teams, you will help minimise downtime and ensure equipment remains operational and compliant.
- Work in accordance with Corin's Health & Safety procedures and policies.
- Liaise with supervisors and production control teams to ensure equipment availability.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Experience with CNC Machines
- Maintain site buildings to ensure they remain safe, functional, and structurally sound.
- Carry out electrical repairs, fault finding, and routine maintenance activities.
- Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across site equipment.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and accurate maintenance records.
- Support compliance with Corin's Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 13485 standards, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 requirements.
- Ensure Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities are completed within agreed timelines and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A good standard of secondary education.
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
- The ability to work accurately to manufacturer specifications and technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- The ability to understand, interpret, and implement manufacturer instructions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance activities.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or regulated industry environment.
- PAT Testing qualification or experience.
- Electrical engineering qualifications or relevant apprenticeship.
