Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Ref. No.: 1043
Salary: £48,443 per annum + benefits
Shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:30

About the Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for an automated warehouse based in Northampton. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the fast flowing material handling equipment as well as:

  • Delivery of key service elements such as planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification, and fault eradication
  • Ensuring all aspects of their working day are logged as per the agreed method
  • Fully interacting with the customer in day-to-day activities
  • Identifying and resolving issues with the materials handling equipment, including identification of root causes, working proactively with the customer operations team
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and submitting proposals
  • Effectively communicating throughout the team and with the customer

Requirements:

  • ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or PLC Engineering
  • Recognised cross training from Mechanical to Electrical Engineering or vice versa
  • PLC knowledge and experience is advantageous
  • Health and Safety Qualifications desirable
  • Experience of automated materials handling equipment
  • Ability to work at height
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills desirable
  • Good team working skills
