Maintenance Engineer
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire
Salary: £52,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in the Boston area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a stable business offering a strong salary, excellent shift pattern, and long-term career opportunities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production machinery, responding to breakdowns, and working closely with the wider engineering and production teams to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance.
- Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
- Complete repairs efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Support continuous improvement and machinery reliability initiatives.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment remains operational.
- Complete engineering documentation and maintenance records.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety at all times.
- Support engineering projects and equipment improvements where required.
Skills Required
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Comfortable working a 4 on 4 off Days & Nights shift pattern.
