Maintenance Engineer (Two vacancies)

Northamptonshire

Salary: £50,000 pa + Plenty of Overtime available at time and a quarter

Shift Pattern:

  • Vacancy 1: 4-on 4-off 6am-6pm
  • Vacancy 2: Sunday to Thursday 9pm-6am (40 hours per week)

We are seeking Two Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (Electrical or Mechanical bias) to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business. This business is benefiting from significant investment into the site and facilities, and as part of their commitment to developing the factory and people, they are looking for two Maintenance Engineers to join a friendly group of Maintenance Engineers and become a key member of the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to optimise machinery efficiency and keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying the root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Report to the Engineering Manager and work with the engineering maintenance team to maintain and repair a range of production equipment, including bucket elevators, conveyors, metal detection, weighers, heat sealers, slicers, screw conveyors, coolers, boilers, dryers, extruders, bulk baggers, PLCs, and more.
  • Partake in site improvement projects and installations of new equipment on site, both mechanical, electrical, and automation focused.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Competency in responding to both Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns (Both Mechanically biased and Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer will be considered).
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, strong communication skills, able to both take instruction and use initiative.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary of £50,000 per annum including shift allowance.
  • Option for regular overtime paid at a premium rate of 1.25.
  • Fantastic pension scheme with a high Employer contribution.
