Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Pershore

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 (DOE)

Shift Pattern: Double Days – Monday to Friday

The Company

A well established and reputable company whose turnover is in the millions, which in turn offers incredible stability and security within the industry. They boasts some of the state-of-the-art machinery and constantly investing to bring on machines to improve production, therefore making them a recognised market leader within their industry. As what they do is niche, they have onsite training as well as putting their engineers through external qualifications. They believe in investing in the business as well as their people to keep them above there competition.

They are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who is looking to make an instant impact on a site and contribute to the growth of the business through hard work, commitment and dedication.

About the Role

You'll become part of a supportive engineering team where training, development and career progression are genuinely encouraged.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of equipment and supervisor and motivate the maintenance team to ensure efficient of site operations.

  • Leading and working as part of a team of engineers, responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance and service of equipment on site, as well as continuous improvement tasks.
  • Mechanically – replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include rollers, bearings and pulleys.
  • Working on Pumps, Valves, Screws, Gearboxes, Shafts, Belts, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
  • Swapping mechanical components like for like as well as strip and rebuild project.
  • Basic electrical capabilities and being safety aware.
  • Ensuring compliance, issuing permits to work, ordering parts and dealing with subcontractors.
  • Working with latest technology working with a CMMS utilising the tablet-based PPM and reactive work.

The Candidate

To be considered and successful for this role, you should have, but not limiting to:

  • Time-served or Apprenticeship or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience working within the Utilities, Recycling, Water Treatment industry.
  • Electrical awareness and Mechanical Fault-Finding skills, looking at Root Cause Analysis and Continuous improvement.
  • Compliance awareness and strong health and safety awareness.
  • Team leadership or supervisory capabilities, Proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
