Maintenance Engineer – Reactive & Preventative Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Lineage Logistics
About the Role
Mission: Lineage Logistics powers the global temperature-controlled logistics sector through technology, sustainability, and scalability—helping eliminate food waste and feed the world. As part of our operations, we’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure optimal performance of critical electrical and mechanical systems across refrigeration, conveyors, cranes, plant utilities, and beyond.
This role involves supporting a reactive and preventative maintenance framework to minimise downtime and maintain our coldstore and warehouse infrastructure.
Shift Details
- Monday to Friday, alternating shifts:
- 6 AM – 2 PM
- 2 PM – 10 PM

Key Responsibilities
Fault Diagnosis & Resolution
Proactively diagnose and resolve equipment failures across:
- Mechanical systems (motor drives, bearings, conveyor belts)
- Electrical systems (wiring, circuit protection, controls)
- Industrial refrigeration (condenser units, compressors)
- Lifting equipment (cranes, hoists)
- Plant utilities (pumps, valves, compressed air systems)
- Apply root cause analysis to implement durable, cost-effective fixes.
- Optimise downtime to maximise operational continuity.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks per company protocols.
- Ensure consistent standards in safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Document all completed work and reporting requirements.
Coldstore Operations
- Regularly monitor refrigeration systems and ensure compliance with temperature thresholds (down to -18°C).
- Adjust servicing schedules as needed and escalate concerns promptly to leadership.
Technical Collaboration & Problem-Solving
- Partner with colleagues to remove obstacles in daily operations.
- Contribute to cross-functional maintenance solutions to support warehouse logistics efficiency.

Physical & Operational Conditions
- Work in cold environments (Threshold -18°C, with Full PPE provided).
- Routine work on ladders at height ((observance of safety procedures mandatory)).
Who We’re Looking For
Core Requirements
- Formal qualification in:
- Electric Engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC, or equivalent).
- Bonus: Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a maintenance environment, preferably aligned with:
- Industrial refrigeration systems.
- Mobile racking or warehouse equipment upkeep.
- Strong skills in fault-finding across both mechanical/electrical planes.
Indicine Policy & Adapting
- Ability to interpret food safety regulations, health & safety compliance, and industrial maintenance best practices.
- Adoptable and proactive mindset: coaching and taking initiative on unpredicted challenges.
- Fluent in written and verbal English for effective team communication.
- Veteran status or Military background welcome.
