Maintenance Engineering

7 Steel Service UK – Newport

Salary: £31,500 plus Shift allowance & production bonus with a potential to earn between £36,000 to £38,000

Hours: 39 Hours, rotating shifts of Mornings, Afternoons and Nights

  • Mornings: Monday-Thursday, 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-1pm
  • Afternoons: Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 2pm-9pm
  • Nights: Sunday-Wednesday 10pm-6am, Thursday 10pm-5am

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our production equipment and machinery function reliably, safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for responding to break downs and completing planned maintenance activities to minimise disruptions to the manufacturing processes. No two days will be the same. One day you could be completing audits on maintenance equipment, and the next calibrating and adjustment equipment.

Ideally, you’ll come from a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a mechanical or electrical background, but what’s most important to us is that you have strong fault finding, problem solving and communication skills.
