Site Maintenance Engineer Dundee

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Dundee

Do you have strong maintenance engineering experience within an industrial environment?
Have you planned and coordinated preventative and reactive maintenance?
Are you confident managing contractors, maintenance budgets, and engineering activities?
Do you have experience working within a regulated environment with strong HSE requirements?

What will you be doing?

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the site, utilities, and associated plant.
  • Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities to maximize plant availability.
  • Manage internal and external maintenance resources, including contractors.
  • Manage maintenance procurement, expenditure, and budgets.
  • Lead small CAPEX projects and support the delivery of larger engineering projects.
  • Ensure statutory inspections and engineering compliance are maintained, including pressure systems and LOLER.
  • Work closely with Operations to identify priorities and maintain reliable plant performance.
  • Support risk assessments, HAZOPs, Permit-to-Work, and wider HSE requirements.
  • Develop maintenance procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Deputise for the Depot Manager when required.

Where will you be doing it?

You will be joining an established industrial organisation operating within a highly regulated process environment. The role is central to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient site operations, working closely with Operations, technical teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.

What will you need?

  • Proven maintenance engineering experience within an industrial, manufacturing, process, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong practical, hands-on maintenance engineering background.
  • Experience planning maintenance programmes and managing contractors.
  • Experience with maintenance budgets, procurement, and CAPEX projects.
  • Knowledge of statutory engineering requirements, ideally including pressure systems and LOLER.
  • Strong HSE awareness and experience with risk assessments and Permit-to-Work systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and contractor management skills.
