Maintenance Engineer
Salary:
Up to £46,000 15% shift premium (£49,450), Up to 10% bonus
Excellent Benefits
Shift Pattern:
Week 1:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am to 2:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am to 12:30pm
Week 2:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
- Friday: 12:30pm to 7:00pm
Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a market-leading engineering and manufacturing company? We are currently recruiting for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support a highly automated production facility. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology, robotics and automated equipment whilst playing a key role in ensuring maximum production uptime and performance. Working closely with both production and engineering teams, you'll be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance activities, fault finding and continuous improvement projects across the site.

The Maintenance Engineer Role
- Provide electrical and mechanical support across automated production lines
- Respond to machine breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis and repair
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Work with PLC-controlled machinery, robotics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics for fault finding
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance
- Work closely with production teams to achieve output targets and minimise downtime
- Monitor machinery performance and identify opportunities for improvement
What We're Looking For in the Maintenance Engineer
- 17th Edition qualified or equivalent electrical qualification
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotics
- A proactive and safety-conscious approach to maintenance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- IT literacy and experience using maintenance systems
- Full UK driving licence
