MULTI SKILLED ENGINEER

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Ardley, Bicester

Salary: Up to £50,000

Shift: Monday - Friday Days (8:00am - 5:00pm)

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a growing food manufacturing business that forms part of one of the world's largest food distribution groups. The business has consistently grown year on year and continues to invest heavily across the site, with further expansion plans already underway.

The successful Multi Skilled Engineer will join a close-knit engineering team, carrying out a mixture of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns across a variety of food processing and packaging equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys improving equipment reliability, getting involved in continuous improvement projects and wants genuine long-term progression within a growing business.

  • Multi Skilled Engineer with a 70/30 Electrical or Mechanical bias.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Engineer

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
  • Experience working on pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Electrical experience including single phase, three phase, motors, sensors, relays and inverters.
  • Proactive engineer with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Team player who is happy to remain hands-on whilst supporting improvements across the site.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).

Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Engineer

  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • PLC fault finding experience, ideally Mitsubishi.
  • Welding and machining experience.
  • Electrically biased engineer.
